Dr. S. Michael Chu Nepay is a committed professional with a strong background in pharmaceutical sciences, regulatory affairs, and project coordination. He currently serves as the Programs, Planning, and Projects Coordinator at the Liberia Medicines and Health Products Regulatory Authority (LMHRA), where he oversees strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening regulatory frameworks. He earned a BSc in Chemistry and a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from the University of Liberia, followed by a Master of Science in Pharmacovigilance and Drug Safety from the University of Lagos. His academic journey is further supported by professional certifications in Strategy for Healthcare Delivery from Harvard Business School, Regulatory Science from the University of Lagos, and Project Proposal Writing and Grants Management from the Africa Asset Institute in Nairobi, Kenya.
With prior experience as a Pharmacy Manager at Jahmale Medical Solutions and as a Quality Control Supervisor at Firestone Liberia.
He is member of the International Society of Pharmacovigilance; he actively contributes to global conversations on medicine safety and regulatory science. Through his technical expertise, he continues to play a vital role in shaping regulatory policies and improving access to safe, effective medical products across the country.
